 HISTORY
Stoughton Credit Union Ltd. was founded May
12, 1960. By the end of the first year there were 102 members and assets of $130,000.
In 1966, assets had grown to $500,000 and a
new office was built.
Kisbey Branch was amalgamated in 1971 with
some 100 members and $110,000 in assets.
There has been an addition to the Stoughton
office, an interior renovation and new roof put on.
Kisbey Branch has had an interior
renovation.
Today our assets total $26 Million and
membership is 1650.
We have a staff complement of 9 full time
and 2 casual employees.
MISSION STATEMENT
To be a local, democratically controlled,
responsible, viable Co-operative financial institution, that is responsive to the social
and economic needs of current and potential members.
PATRONAGE REBATES
It has been a commitment of the Board of
Directors to return excess profits, after reserve allocations are met, back to the members
and into the communities we serve.
Since 1985, we have continually paid a
patronage rebate and over the years we have returned $1.26 Million back to our members.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Sponsor and contribute to many events and
organizations in the community
Minor Hockey, Curling Clubs, Golf Course,
Swimming Pool, Ag Society, 4 H Clubs, Health Fair etc.
Made larger contributions to new Ambulance
Fund, new Swimming Pool and new Curling Complex
Our staff volunteer time to local
organizations
